Fairmont Pacific Rim Willow Stream Spa Review

Willow Stream Spa Review

This month we took the opportunity to visit the Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim in our beautiful hometown Vancouver, British Columbia.

Based in one of the most stunning hotel properties in the Pacific Northwest and located across the street from Canada Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Willow Stream Spa overlooks Vancouver’s famous North Shore Mountain landscape while being perfectly situated to access anything your heart could desire in downtown Vancouver.

We decided to visit the Willow Stream Spa with our friend Ava from @spatravelgal while she was on her own spa tour throughout North America, and this was her next stop.

As luxury spa writers, we are always on the lookout for a multitude of details when we review spas. We look at the cleanliness of the facilities and equipment used, to the amenity options for guests, the quality of the products used during treatments to the quality of the people giving them.

We also look at location, accessibility and elements enticing our senses within the spa, such as aromas, temperatures, décor, music selection and more.

The Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Pacific Rim did not disappoint.

We spent a lot of time looking for areas of improvements within this spa, and it came as close to perfection as we have experienced in a very long time.

In the words of our friend Ava from @spatravelgal –

Spatravelgal“My facial was one of the best quality facials I have received in a long time. The quality of the products and their attention to detail was superb.” – Ava, @spatravelgal

Some of the amenities we got to enjoy at the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Pacific Rim included:

  1. An outdoor roof top hot tub with fabulous views surrounding
  2. Complimentary snacks including fruit, nuts and house-made gluten free energy bars
  3. A full food and drink menu (note, please leave 15-20 mins for drinks and 30-35 mins for food)
  4. Lounging rooms with a selection of books surrounding comforting fireplaces
  5. The Willow Stream Spa Experience Shower (with a multitude of pressures and shower heads)
  6. A eucalyptus steam room within the change rooms for both men and women
  7. A co-ed lounge with view, fireplace, seating, reading and snacks
  8. Cushioned outdoor lounging chairs and beds with outdoor fireplace and heaters

We got to enjoy a signature pedicure, as it was time to treat our feet, and we were greeted by the choice of mango infused fresh BC mountain water or a selection of delicious herbal teas. Our esthetician, Jenny, was genuinely happy to see us and smiled with joy and kindness the entire hour we were with her. It was obvious how much she loved working there as much as we enjoyed being there to enjoy it ourselves.

The seating for the pedicure included a fabulous view of the Vancouver Convention Centre and it’s grass covered rooftop, with BC mountains beyond. We enjoyed a heating pad around our neck, some tea during the 60-minute treatment and thoughtful conversation with Jenny (which we instigated). The music was upbeat but calming and there was a bright, happy vibe in the entire spa. Our pedicure included a selection of Spring colors, a foot and lower leg massage, hydration package and even a little welcome sign with our names on it sitting beside us so we felt right at home.

The Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Pacific Rim was one of the most exceptional spas we have been to in a long time, and we look forward to visiting this particular spa again soon.
